Summer Staff represent all that is AMAZING about our
young adults today… and fun, and
unbelievable…
The incredible group of people you see above represents the
Summer Staff team who embarked on a journey of changing lives this
past summer. They are college students from over 40 colleges and
universities around the country. They are the people we hire as the
backbone of our camps…supporting the thousands of youth groups who
attend our camps in a ministry of service each year. We love
them.
Now, when you think of camp, you're probably thinking about rope
swings, canoeing, and cabins … but that's not exactly how it works
with us. Our camps are focused on Home Repair or Community Service,
and we stay in a local school or church in the community we're
serving. The school or church is our main "hub" for the camp, and
we typically eat, sleep, and have our programs in this facility.
From there, the campers (our youth group participants) go into the
community to help meet the needs of low income, elderly, or
disabled families/individuals and support organizations we've
identified.
